Requirements

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring extensive wrist, arm, and shoulder use.
  • Good hand/eye coordination essential for precise mold operation.
  • Upper body strength and knowledge of proper lifting techniques.
  • Willingness and ability to operate both mold and core automated machines.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of foundry operations and materials used in sand molding.
  • Experience working in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes in casting or molding.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and safety culture.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery to create sand molds used for metal castings, ensuring molds meet quality standards through careful judgment and experience.
  • Monitor and manage the characteristics and consistency of sand and additives used in molding to maintain product integrity.
  • Perform repetitive tasks involving extensive wrist, arm, and shoulder use for up to 8 to 10 hours, maintaining focus and precision.
  • Maintain intimate knowledge of molding and core machines, running both automated mold and core machines efficiently.
  • Assess the quality of finished molds and make adjustments as necessary to meet production standards.
  • Utilize upper body strength and proper lifting techniques to handle materials safely.
