About The Position

The Isostatic Molder is responsible for operating high-pressure molding equipment to produce PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) parts that meet quality and production standards. This role requires precision, adherence to safety and ISO procedures, and strong teamwork within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Accredited high school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Competency with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and density scales.
  • Basic math and mechanical aptitude for process adjustments and troubleshooting.
  • One to three months’ experience in a manufacturing facility highly desired.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in plastics molding, powder processing, or compression/ISO-static molding preferred.
  • Familiarity with PTFE or fluoropolymer processing a strong plus.
  • Forklift certification and OSHA safety training are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor Isostatic molding machines to produce PTFE components.
  • Measure, weigh, and prepare PTFE powders to ensure proper material handling.
  • Maintain accurate molding records including pressures, cycle times, and material usage.
  • Perform inspections of molded parts for density, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality.
  • Conduct routine mold cleaning, equipment checks, and preventive maintenance support.
  • Safely handle powders and operate high-pressure systems in compliance with OSHA, ISO, and company safety standards.
  • Identify, document, and report process or equipment issues, assisting in root-cause problem solving.
  • Collaborate with quality and production teams to meet production goals and improve processes.
