Machine Operator - Metallizer & Finishing 2nd Shift

About The Position

As a Machine Operator, you will take ownership of our metallizer machine and finishing assets (rewinders, sheeters, levers) to drive efficient production. You will lead machine setups, conduct routine quality checks, and troubleshoot equipment to keep our operations running smoothly. This role is for the 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 2:45 PM - 11:00 PM, with a starting hiring rate of $25.09/hr plus a $2/hr shift differential.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Lift Truck Operator license.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Basic computer proficiency for transactional logging (MFG Pro preferred).
Strong focus on safety, team collaboration, continuous improvement, and mechanical curiosity.

Nice To Haves

3-5 years of experience in manufacturing in a similar production environment.
Strong shipping/receiving system usage and understanding.
Track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Management and Time Management skills.
Track record of implementing Lean manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Operate and set up metallizer machine and finishing assets (rewinders, sheeters, levers).
Load/unload raw materials and finished products.
Set up wire, boats, and equipment to ensure optimal machine performance.
Perform routine product testing using standard measuring tools to deliver high-quality, zero-defect products.
Monitor equipment gauges and control flow.
Perform root-cause troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
Partner with cross-functional teams to meet production goals.
Follow safety SOPs.
Maintain inventory and production logs.
