About The Position

This role involves performing routine and non-routine cleaning tasks on Meltblown equipment, setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and making adjustments to the process to produce quality products. The technician will also be responsible for basic upkeep and troubleshooting of various equipment including Meltblown machines, TSI Testers, Cutters, Presses, resin drying and mixing equipment, and silo systems. Collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams for new processes and products, documentation creation, and managing scrap are key aspects of the position. The role also includes calibrating machines, performing quality tests, supporting OE initiatives, and completing preventative maintenance. Adherence to safety, quality, ITAR, and plant procedures, along with maintaining organization through 5S principles, is essential. Effective communication with various departments and the ability to train new employees are also required. Other duties may be assigned by the team leader or manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine cleaning tasks on Meltblown equipment.
  • Set-up, operate, troubleshoot, and make machine adjustments to produce quality product.
  • Perform basic upkeep and troubleshooting on Meltblown machines, TSI Testers, Cutters, Presses, resin drying equipment, resin mixing equipment, and silo systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering from Neillsville and Stoughton on new processes and products.
  • Engage engineering and maintenance for timely assistance with issues.
  • Assist in the creation of documentation for existing and new processes and procedures.
  • Properly complete all department documentation, including quality records, maintenance logs, production logs, and 5S scores.
  • Understand and apply media specifications to maintain product quality.
  • Assist in managing scrap amounts by addressing causes and involving engineering or maintenance.
  • Calibrate machines and testing equipment per schedule and as needed.
  • Perform quality test procedures as required.
  • Support and maintain OE initiatives throughout the designated work area.
  • Complete weekly and monthly Preventative Maintenance on equipment.
  • Apply all safety, quality, ITAR, and other plant processes and procedures.
  • Keep the department organized and focused to meet production demands (5S).
  • Communicate effectively with department, maintenance, engineering, plant leadership, and co-workers.
  • Train new employees in the department.
  • Other duties as assigned by the team leader or manager.
