About The Position

The Machine Operator Lead is responsible for ensuring product safety and quality while operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production lines. This role involves coordinating operator breaks, communicating downtime and productivity issues to supervisors, training new operators, and potentially filling in for the supervisor. The position also requires maintaining a safe and clean work environment, performing cleaning and sorting duties, and adhering to all safety rules and procedures.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching, and twisting.
Cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Ensure product safety and quality in all duties.
Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain blowmolding platforms.
Repair lines or provide information to maintenance and supervisors when a line is down.
Work with maintenance to resolve issues and restore production.
Coordinate operator break times, ensuring coverage.
Communicate extended machine downtime and productivity issues to supervisors/managers.
Assess and coordinate new operator training and documentation of progressions.
Fill in for the Supervisory position when the supervisor is unavailable.
Evaluate and take action to maintain a safe work environment.
Inspect work areas for unsafe acts/conditions.
Effectively use verbal and written communication.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Perform sweeping, cleaning, and sorting duties as necessary.
Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
