About The Position

The Lathe Operator is responsible for set up, perform offsets, and operate CNC lathes according to the established standard work for production purposes. This position is for 2nd Shift (2PM - 10:30 PM). The Machinist, CNC reports directly to the area Supervisor. Performs basic machining functions to produce parts. Operates multiple machines simultaneously. Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance. Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets. Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision. Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community. Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS). Completes all required training.

Requirements

  • 1+ Years of Experience Operating Machining Equipment in a Manufacturing Environment (Preferred)

  • Blueprint Reading - Working Experience

Responsibilities

  • Select programs, collets, bushings and tooling for setup on CNC Lathe.
  • Perform setups as needed on CNC Lathe.
  • Operate CNC Lathe for production.
  • Complete required router information.
  • Perform first piece first article and in-process inspection of parts
  • Manufacture parts to manufacturing prints or customer prints.
  • Maintain tooling on CNC lathe.
  • Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance on machine.
  • Perform housekeeping per 6S schedule.
  • Performs basic machining functions to produce parts.
  • Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
  • Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
  • Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
