About The Position

Advantage Steel and Construction in Saxonburg, PA is looking to hire a full-time Machine Operator / Laborer. This is a mid to entry level Laborer position to perform work in our fabrication shop completing parts for bridges and buildings. This Machine Operator / Laborer position earns a competitive wage. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Willingness to learn other aspects of fabrication.
Ability to work extended hours to meet project needs.
Ability to follow instruction and produce consistent work that meets customer expectations.
2-5 years of work experience
This is an mid to entry level position, but some experience in a steel fabrication shop is preferred.
Organized with an eye for details
Ability to meet deadlines with high-quality work
Great problem-solving skills
Ability to be flexible and adapt to new challenges and roles

Nice To Haves

CNC or Programming background a plus.
Successful completion of vocational or technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

Cutting, Drilling and Forming steel components
Grinding, cutting and piece marking
Supporting all other fabrication operations as needed, including material handling, shot blasting and welding
Operating cranes and fork trucks
Potential to get into welding and advance your career
Assist team members as needed in order to achieve company goals.
