Machine Operator / Laborer
About The Position
Advantage Steel and Construction in Saxonburg, PA is looking to hire a full-time Machine Operator / Laborer. This is a mid to entry level Laborer position to perform work in our fabrication shop completing parts for bridges and buildings. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Willingness to learn other aspects of fabrication.
- Ability to work extended hours to meet project needs.
- Ability to follow instruction and produce consistent work that meets customer expectations.
- 2-5 years of work experience
- Some experience in a steel fabrication shop is preferred.
- Organized with an eye for details
- Can meet deadlines with high-quality work
- Great problem-solving skills
- Flexible and adapt to new challenges and roles
Nice To Haves
- CNC or Programming background a plus
- Successful completion of vocational or technical school preferred
Responsibilities
- Cutting, Drilling and Forming steel components
- Grinding, cutting and piece marking
- Supporting all other fabrication operations as needed, including material handling, shot blasting and welding
- Operating cranes and fork trucks
- Potential to get into welding and advance your career
- Assisting team members as needed in order to achieve company goals
