About The Position
Operate manufacturing machines in a safe, responsible, and efficient manner in order to meet customer requirements. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of a slitting machine according to established training criteria. The Machine Operator will follow directions on work orders, translate data into proper settings and procedures, and check output against specifications and visual inspection of goods produced. They will be responsible for recognizing non-conforming goods and reporting them to the Quality Assurance Manager, as well as reporting any process and equipment problems to upper management and/or the Maintenance Supervisor. The role requires adherence to established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, and ensures the efficient utilization of required systems, including HQMS and Sage 500 ERP/DSCS. The Machine Operator is responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area, meeting production quality and quantity standards, and adhering to production schedules.
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- Good command of the English language.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders for processing.
- Ability to use simple math and basic hand help measuring tools.
- Ability to lift or maneuver rolls of tape in excess of 50+lbs.
- Regularly required to stand, reach and move about the facility.
Responsibilities
