EPTAM Precision Molding is looking for a Machine Operator, Injection Molding - 1st Shift to join their team in Phillipsburg, NJ. This role involves creating medical devices that support OEM partners in creating life-saving parts. Requirements

High School diploma, equivalent or trade school graduate and/or minimum experience.
6 months experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customers.
Basic knowledge of equipment.
Basic ability to read prints and use simple measuring equipment.
Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

Manually inspects completed plastics parts and packs them into boxes for shipping.
Operates machines located in the department and other secondary operations.
May train new hires.
Operates in a safe manner and keeps the work area clean and organized.
Sets up station with the correct process inspection documents, screens, and/or workflow instructions.
Operates machines located in the department and other secondary operations which includes mini-injector presses, grinders, cutters, radius machine as well as assembly components.
Package and label product in accordance of the standard operating procedure.
Documents production, calculating the number of products inspected and rejected.
Communicates any process problems to the Process Technician/Shift Supervisor/ Group Lead.
Fill out Quality hourly paperwork.
In process inspection: Inspection consists of frequent examination of the visual attributes of each product (discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination sinks, splay, delamination, etc.).
Packing: Preparation includes transferring the product from catch bins or boxes into shipping containers, transporting the product to the shipping area, properly weighing, properly completing and affixing correct label to container using SAP, preparing and supplying new or used boxes to the molding presses and stacking finished product correctly on pallet.
Sorts and Reworks: Sorting and/or reworking product that does not conform to the customer requirements. Properly documents and labels to identify the status of non-conforming product. Sampling and gaging of reject product may also be required.
Assist with relieving other operators with scheduled breaks.
Reads and interprets the manufacturing process instructions, visual aids/drawings (e.g. microscope and magnifying lenses).
Responsible for keeping areas neat and clean, follow restriction/rules of fire protection, safety and environmental issues.
Follow specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., process sheets, work orders and any other special instructions.
Proper handling of all material, parts and equipment to prevent damage and loss of finished product.
