The Band III Machine Operator – 2nd shift – will set up, operate, trouble shoot, and maintain bolt making equipment. Requirements
- Prior machine operation/manufacturing experience preferred
- General knowledge of small hand tools.
- Forklift experience/license preferred
- High School Diploma or educational equivalent preferred
- Math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
- Proficiency in reading a tape measure
Nice To Haves
- Forklift license
Responsibilities
- Conducts machine troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Able to read a micrometer and scale
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a forklift license
- Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules and Carris Reels safety program
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Excellent attitude, communication, and team work skills
- All other duties as required
