About The Position

The Machine Operator III is responsible for operating a variety of industrial/manufacturing machines following production schedules, product specifications, and quality standards. Additionally, they are responsible for interpreting and applying specifications, drawings, and charts. They adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies and procedures. This role also involves discussing key metrics daily with support and production personnel regarding safety, quality situations, previous day's production, actions, and IIOT system usage via the IIOT Dashboard, Visual Display, and Tier 1 Board. They will maintain and enforce the use of TDM and the PDES system in the manufacturing area through manufacturing floor connectivity and report problems and anomalies in Tier meetings through manufacturing floor connectivity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or Technical Diploma (completed)
  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing processes
  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Quality, ISO9001, and ISO14001 processes.
  • Knowledge of LEAN methodology processes and tools.
  • Intermediate-level operation of production machinery.
  • Knowledge in the operation and handling of instrumentation tools.
  • Knowledge in multiple operational processes.
  • Basic math knowledge.
  • Inventory control management.
  • Basic knowledge in product and/or process inspection.
  • Ability to plan daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Operate intermediate-level industrial and manufacturing machines for products or components following established production schedules, product specifications, and quality standards.
  • Observe the operation of the assigned machine to ensure products/components are manufactured according to established specifications and standards.
  • Perform set-ups on industrial machines as required, if applicable.
  • Maintain daily records of inspections performed on industrial machinery following company-established procedures, if applicable.
  • Use measuring instruments and hand tools to make adjustments to industrial machinery, if applicable.
  • Interpret product and/or production process drawings and charts to ensure product manufacturing adheres to corresponding specifications.
  • Move raw materials to feed industrial/production machinery following established work area procedures.
  • Identify deficiencies and maintenance or repair needs for industrial/production machinery.
  • Perform visual inspections of manufactured product components to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Document and deliver production and scrap reports to the appropriate personnel following company-established procedures and formats.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized following work area and company policies and procedures.
  • Refer any abnormalities in the product or process to the immediate supervisor or designated personnel.
  • Keep work areas clean and report unsafe conditions that could affect employee safety.
  • Handle waste and dispose of it following company-established procedures.
  • Comply with established health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures.
  • Actively participate in meetings with department personnel to discuss operational and/or administrative aspects of the company.
  • Comply with established Human Resources and company policies and procedures.
  • Regularly operate a motor vehicle as part of job duties and/or occasionally operate suspended floor cranes.
  • Discuss key metrics daily with support and production personnel (safety, quality situations, previous day's production, actions, and IIOT system usage) through the IIOT Dashboard, Visual Display, Tier 1 Board.
