The starting pay for a Machine Operator is $18.50 plus $1.00 shift differential. Shift Schedule: 3rd shift - Sunday through Thursday - 11p.m. to 7a.m.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift 30 - 50 lbs
  • Ability to work at a quick pace
  • 1-2 years production experience preferred or experience running machinery.
  • Ability to read and write a limited number of words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.
  • Ability to count and perform simple math operations to determine information such as weight, temperature, and quantity.
  • Must be able to perform lockout tagout.
  • Ability to meet production and quality standards.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and calibrate machinery and equipment (i.e. booking press, drum unit, window RUVO, handtools) in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure quality standards by completing KQI’s for both units and the wet system.
  • Set up slabs as appropriate.
  • Ensure inventory is adequate. Inform group leader or supervisory of shortages.
  • Keep area and equipment clean, maintained, and organized in a safe manner.
  • Adhere to all safety training, policies, and procedures.
  • Work safely and report unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.
