About The Position

Precision Custom Components (PCC) is seeking a talented Machine Operator II (2nd Shift) to join their team. This is an on-site position reporting to their manufacturing facility in York, PA. This position is part of a collective bargaining unit (union). The current wage is $32.87 per hour plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 11:55 PM). Whether you're driving results in the office or making them happen on the shop floor, you'll collaborate across departments to solve problems, support efficient operations, and help ensure every component is completed safely, accurately, and with precision. As a Machine Operator II, you will help produce critical components for commercial nuclear, defense, energy, aerospace, and industrial applications while supporting safe, accurate, and efficient manufacturing operations.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing documentation.
U.S. citizenship is required at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience heavily preferred.
Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges preferred.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and basic mathematical aptitude.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC and manual machine tools under established procedures and work instructions.
Load and unload materials, tooling, and workpieces as required to support production activities.
Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced in accordance with specifications and quality requirements.
Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools to verify part dimensions.
Perform routine machine adjustments, tool changes, and preventative maintenance activities as directed.
Identify and report equipment, tooling, quality, or safety concerns to supervision.
Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work area while following company procedures and applicable shop standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist higher-level machinists and operators as needed.
