Machine Operator II (Multus)
About The Position
Race Winning Brands (RWB) is the leading manufacturer of racing and high-performance parts sold to automotive and powersports markets. RWB is the preferred source for high-end pistons, engine blocks, cylinder heads, intake manifolds, connecting rods, crankshafts, clutches and other engine and driveline- related performance components. This role involves operating equipment properly and safely, setting up and operating machines according to work orders, drawings, templates, or layouts, and performing adjustments to CNC machines and tool offsets. The operator will follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures, use small hand tools, and maintain a clean and organized work area. The position requires running 2-4 machines, operating production equipment, burring machined products, inspecting parts, and operating various machines including CNC mills, CNC lathes, and drill presses. Simple measurement instruments will be used to check work, and simple adjustments will be made, with Leads notified for more complex adjustments. Additional duties and assignments may be required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to consistently work second shift.
- Familiar with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, digital height stands, blueprints, analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Must be able to communicate with both management and non-management associates.
Nice To Haves
- 2-3 years’ experience preferred with CNC equipment and/or experience in manufacturing environment. Will train employees with solid work history.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment properly and safely
- Sets up and operates machine by work order, drawings, templates, or layouts
- Familiar with CNC machine/tool offset adjustments
- Follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
- Use of small hand tools
- Cleans/organizes/straightens areas as defined by Lead or Supervisor which may including wiping down the machines, removing trash, sweeping area, scrap bins, skids, boxes and/or other items that result from factory environment
- Will run 2-4 machines
- operates production equipment
- burrs machined products
- inspects parts in process and finished goods
- operates CNC mills, CNC lathes, drill presses and other machines where setups and tool changes are required
- may operate computer console
- uses simple measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, digital height stands) to check work
- makes simple adjustments and notifies Lead for the need for more complex tool or machine adjustments
- Performs additional duties and assignments as required
