About The Position

As a Machine Operator, you will play a key supporting role in the production and packaging process of delicious Beyond Meat products. You will handle and monitor product and equipment, ensure that everything is running smoothly, and be a safe, productive, and valued team member.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Problem solving skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
Ability to understand and follow safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices
Teamwork and a positive attitude are essential to maintain a culture of cooperation and respect
Must be able to work individually in a team environment
Must be punctual and dependable
Ability to work 12-hour shifts
Flexibility to work any/all shifts to support a high growth work environment
Mandatory overtime is required on occasion, which can include some weekends
Must be able to repetitively lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
Must be able to repetitively exert the required force to push/pull gaylords of differing weights (400 to 1,200 lbs.) while walking utilizing a manual pallet jack
Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods
Must be able to crouch/stoop/squat/bend as needed to complete tasks
Must be able to occasionally climb stairs or a ladder to complete tasks

Manufacturing experience, especially food manufacturing experience, is preferred

Responsibilities

Under Supervisor guidance, perform daily production activities and operate equipment while maintaining a safe, high-quality, high-volume manufacturing environment
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including sweeping, gathering trash, and other janitorial duties as assigned
Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer product from warehouse to production to freezer
Ensure equipment is maintained in clean, good, and safe working condition and recommend improvements to ensure safety, quality, and production capacity
Follow all company policies and procedures, safety procedures, food safety guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices beyond regulatory needs
Help junior Machine Operators in their assigned responsibilities
Recommend and support development and process improvements to enhance operational safety and efficiency
Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor or leader immediately
