About The Position

The Machine Operator I operates and monitors controls for associated plant equipment, identifies and addresses malfunctions, coordinates equipment operation with other machine operators, and reports outages and safety concerns to the shift supervisor. The role also includes daily cleaning of the work area and other tasks assigned by the shift supervisor or higher-level personnel. The position is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed.

Requirements

• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills are highly desired.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb vertical ladders.
• Forklift experience.
• Availability to work 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturdays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor controls for associated plant equipment.
• Isolate malfunctions and adjust or correct equipment as necessary.
• Coordinate equipment operation with other machine operators.
• Notify the shift supervisor of equipment outages and adverse personnel safety conditions.
• Clean the work area daily.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the shift supervisor or personnel in higher leadership positions.
