About The Position

This is a full-time Machine Operator I position in a food manufacturing environment, with opportunities for advancement. The starting pay is $20.50 per hour, with an additional $1.50 shift differential for hours worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. The position is listed as second shift.

The Machine Operator sets up and pre-runs equipment to support proper production startup; controls line speeds, batch formulas, production rates, equipment operation, and product appearance and safety; completes quality checks; and completes required paperwork using applicable systems and procedures.

The role involves physical work in a fast-paced production environment and requires regularly lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking on concrete floors for extended periods, and working in varying temperatures. The schedule may require overtime, weekends, and alternative shifts as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort with physical labor in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for long periods and work in varying temperature conditions.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and alternative shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

• 0–1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and pre-run equipment to ensure proper production startup.
• Control line speeds, batch formula, production rates, and the starting and stopping of equipment.
• Monitor overall product appearance and safety.
• Complete various quality checks.
• Complete required paperwork, such as downtime and HACCP documentation, using SAP, SOPs, safety operation procedures, and training as appropriate.
