About The Position

Machine Operator I is a full-time position in a food manufacturing environment, with opportunities for advancement. The role involves preparing and operating production equipment, monitoring production and product safety, performing quality checks, and completing required production and safety paperwork. The position is scheduled for second shift, between 3:00 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience; manufacturing experience is ideal.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend, carry, push, pull, and perform other activities as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete and work in cold and/or hot temperatures.
• Availability for overtime or weekends based on plant scheduling needs.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and pre-run equipment to ensure proper production start-up.
• Control line speeds and batch formula production rates; start and stop equipment; and oversee product quality and safety.
• Perform various quality checks.
• Complete required paperwork, including downtime and HACCP records, and use SAP SOPs and safety operation training as appropriate.
