About The Position

Ditch Witch is hiring a Machine Operator I for Plant 3. The employee operates one or more production machines, which may include lathes, mills, drills, saws, automatic welders, benders, punches, shears, flame-cutting equipment, high-definition and plasma equipment, lasers, heat-treat equipment, and shot-blast equipment. As a cross-functional team member, the employee may also assemble components and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Be familiar with and have basic experience using mechanical repair and assembly tools, including wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
Have appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills, including understanding written instructions, maintaining production records, and calculating sums, differences, and fractions.

Nice To Haves

Experience or training in welding, machining, mechanical repair, or operating metalworking machinery.

Responsibilities

Set up, adjust, and operate production equipment while monitoring machine performance and completing operations in the proper sequence.
Set up fixtures, mount parts in fixtures or components, and perform mechanical assembly using hand and air tools.
Use a computer to check parts' locations, inventory, and routing, and maintain production records.
May read information from blueprints.
May assemble components and perform other duties as assigned.
