About The Position
Altek Electronics, a Cyient DLM company, has been a trusted source of electronic manufacturing services since 1972. They are a comprehensive contract manufacturer serving a broad range of industries, supporting the complete product life cycle from prototype through production and end of life. As a solutions provider with expertise in PCB layout and design, PCB assembly, and upper-level chassis, control panels, and cable & harness assembly, they manufacture products using LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. Altek is certified to AS9100D, their operators are certified to IPC-610, IPC-620 and J-STD, and they are ITAR compliant.
Requirements
- Good eyesight and hand coordination
- Ability to read & understand assembly prints and Digital Traveler documents
- Ability to troubleshoot and correct simple mechanical problems
- Basic component identification skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with moderate supervision
- IPC-A-610 certification required, or successful completion of certification program per an agreed upon timeline.
- HS diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrates understanding of routine aspects of work.
- Typically, up to 2 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Essential Duties & Responsibilities as presented above.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine set up, operation, and preventative maintenance of Wave and Depanel equipment.
- Controls and adjusts machine settings.
- Inspects in-process parts to ensure quality meet requirements and identifies quality issues.
- Operates light-duty bench or floor-type machine tools and equipment such as the FKN depanelizers, board routers, pallet cleaners, or stencil cleaners.
- Ensures accurate documentation of all relevant quality, safety, and maintenance documents.
- Assists in resolving routine manufacturing related problems affecting daily operations.
- Selects appropriate processes from clearly documented rules, past practices, or instruction.
- Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from manager.
- Responsible for following established safety rules & 6S.
- Participates in and supports Process Improvements
