About The Position
The Machine Operator supports production of weatherstripping at a growing, high-volume manufacturing facility in Greer, South Carolina. The role is suited to mechanically inclined operators with manufacturing experience or technical skills. Operators work with production equipment, learn facility processes, and may develop skills for advancement into higher-level roles. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Requirements
- Prior machine operation or manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude or a technical skill set is strongly desired.
- Ability to read work instructions, measurements, and production documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently once trained.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working in a louder production environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment.
- Load raw materials and remove finished products.
- Make simple machine adjustments and perform basic setups and changeovers.
- Monitor quality standards and maintain production specifications.
- Follow safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Accurately record production data and communicate issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with technicians and supervisors to support continuous improvement.
