In this role, you will operate and support manufacturing equipment used in production while helping ensure products meet established quality and process requirements. This is an opportunity to develop hands-on manufacturing skills while contributing to work that supports Medtronic's mission.

Requirements

  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing, production, or machine operation environment.
  • Experience operating or working around machine tools or manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with gauges, jigs, fixtures, or other basic measurement and inspection tools.
  • Experience performing basic machine setup, adjustments, or routine equipment maintenance.
  • Familiarity with numerically controlled equipment.
  • Experience following standard operating procedures, quality requirements, or established manufacturing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently perform work requiring accuracy and close tolerances.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and production equipment, such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills, punch presses, power brakes, shears, or saws.
  • Perform basic machine setups and adjustments as required to support production.
  • Assist with routine maintenance of machines and equipment.
  • Inspect completed work using prescribed gauges, jigs, and fixtures to verify dimensional requirements and close tolerances.
  • Operate numerically controlled equipment where applicable.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and verify product quality in accordance with established statistical process controls or other quality procedures.
  • Follow established operating procedures and manufacturing requirements while supporting a safe, quality-focused work environment.
