This is a 2nd shift position: M-TH, 4:15 p.m. to 2:45 a.m. The role involves operating a variety of production machines, performing routine operations, and producing blades and/or vanes. It requires performing all quality checks, shift work, and the ability to work overtime when needed. The operator will receive on-the-job training to become proficient and certified in performing operations within a standard work loop, which may include coatings, grinding, hole drilling, or finishing of turbine airfoils. The operator will follow provided work instructions, demonstrate understanding of quality and production standards, and possess broad knowledge of machine shop practices, methods, and techniques. This includes knowledge of cutting qualities of metal, machining, fabrication, and tooling. The role requires working from drawings and sketches, using advanced shop mathematics, and a variety of precision measuring instruments. Additionally, the operator will work from drawings and operation sheets, using decimals and fractions, and a variety of precision measuring instruments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Requires knowledge of machining methods.
  • Previous Manufacturing or Machine Operation experience or education.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or more years Machine Operator or Manufacturing Experience
