The position will provide perform mixing, pelleting and drying responsibilities within the Custom Diet facility. Requirements
- Completed High School education
- English communication – written, reading and oral
- Neat and legible handwriting
- Developed and accurate basic math ability – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Ability to accurately transpose written and printed information to quality record documents
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Physical mobility within facility
- Ability to lift 55 lb. objects from floor to shoulder height
- Ability to climb and descend stairs and vertical ladders
- Aptitude to comprehend solid and liquid process flow
- Willing and able to work overtime as needed (including nights and weekends)
Responsibilities
- Mix diets utilizing both vertical paddle mixers and horizontal ribbon mixer
- Pellet diets utilizing both table-top pellet mills and free-standing pellet mill
- Transfer pelleted diet to drying trays and load and unload drying trays into and out of vacuum dryers
- Complete and maintain mixing, pelleting and drying quality record documentation to ensure quality system compliance
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Overtime as needed including nights and or weekends
