About The Position

This position involves the soldering of PCB assemblies on a wave solder machine, utilizing controlled programs and/or profiles specified by engineering. The operator will be responsible for performing all required start-up and shut-down routines as documented by the manufacturer or company procedures. The role requires adherence to quality standards, safety procedures, and ESD/MSD handling requirements. The position is subject to ITAR and/or CUI compliance, requiring candidates to be a U.S. Citizen.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification.
  • Obtain operation specifications through Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance per manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Ability to work on multiple procedures / products.
  • Highly repetitive or routine duties.
  • Normally follows established procedures on routine work.
  • Works under moderate supervision.
  • Pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1-8 and J-STD-001 Module 1 and 6 as needed.
  • Ability to support a minimum of 2 customer products while maintaining quality and production standard requirements.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks using a wide range of procedures with a minimum low-level complexity.
  • Ability to follow established procedures on routine work.
  • Experienced using Windows operating systems including Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR and/or CUI compliance.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma /GED or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience working for an ISO9000n or AS9100 accredited organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Start the equipment, verify the correct program or profile name outlined in Company documentation and run equipment to solder PCB assemblies.
  • Perform daily and weekly Preventative Maintenance, entering results into a maintenance log.
  • Follow Manufacturing Process Instructions.
  • Follow start-up (as well as shut-down) and safety procedures to operate machines.
  • Review board output to assure product meets IPC-A-610 Standards.
  • Adhere to all ESD requirements and Board Handling Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on the components’ Moisture Sensitive Levels (MSL).
  • Comply with all in-house training as identified in job specific family and/or specific training plan.
  • Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
