About The Position

The Hand Enterer is responsible for setting up and hand drawing warp ends through the drop wires, heddles and reed in preparation for weaving. The Hand Enterer checks the drawing schedule and builds harness by loom type and heddles per frame, as needed for the specified styles of future warps to be hand drawn.

Requirements

  • Able to read, understand, and follow written instructions, construction sheet, master cards, and weave draft.
  • Able to lift moderate weight.
  • Writing skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good vision.
  • Computer skills.
  • Ability to bend, stand, and pull.
  • Capacity to work independently to a degree.

  • Checking the drawing schedule.
  • Building harness by loom type and heddles per frame, as needed for the specified styles of future warps to be hand drawn.
