About The Position

This role is with a manufacturer of foundry cores, luting paste, and packaging for a railroad maintenance supplier. The Machine Operator / General Labor position involves executing work orders and producing welding kits for railroad maintenance. A strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiencies is essential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Dependable transportation is a must.
• Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization and achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to train all levels of the organization, across all shifts of operation.

Nice To Haves

• Basic problem solving skills.
• Prior factory experience.
• Forklift training or experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to set-up, run and operate various production and packaging machines.
• Track and keep records for progress on hourly boards.
• Be trainable to learn OSHA safety standards, 5-S and working in a team setting.
• Work without physical limitations, bending, twisting or squatting may be necessary from time to time.
• Stack a 50 lb. package when necessary.
• Perform other duties or responsibilities, as assigned.
