About The Position

Flexcon is hiring Machine Operators for its Columbus, Nebraska plant. The role supports production operations and requires applying job skills and company policies and procedures to assigned tasks. Operators work on problems of moderate scope, assess relevant factors, and exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices. They must learn and follow standardized work and promote a safe, quality-driven culture. The position is in person and scheduled Monday through Thursday, 5:55 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn the ERP system.
Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
Basic math skills and ability to read a ruler and tape measure to measure fractions of an inch.
High attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Commitment to a high standard of safety and willingness and ability to comply with environmental and safety regulations and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform various tasks in support of production operations.
Apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Analyze problems of moderate scope by reviewing a variety of factors and determine appropriate action within defined procedures and practices.
Learn and follow standardized work created for the assigned role.

Report potential environmental and safety improvements to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.
