About The Position

The Machine Operator – Production Machining CNC is responsible for operating multi-purpose numerically controlled machines, measuring parts, and making necessary offset modifications to maintain quality standards. This role requires strong attention to detail and a mechanical mindset to support the daily machining operations.

Requirements

  • 6 months to 1 year of machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Blueprint reading
  • Machining operations
  • Basic mathematics
  • SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • Proficient use of gauges, micrometers, and calipers

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload parts from machine and pack.
  • Operate machines by activating controls and monitoring for accuracy and performance.
  • Change inserts and adjust clamps as necessary.
  • Check the quality of the parts by observing the machine operation and inspect workpieces using micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
  • Clear scrap from machine regularly and keep work area clean.
  • Perform other customer- or product-driven duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
