Machine Operator - CNC - 1st shift

About The Position

This position involves the operation of a CNC machine for glass. Operator tracks, locates, and records CNC production on schedules provided by Lead person. Communicate production demands with operators on each shift. This is a 1st shift position which is currently scheduled Monday-Friday 6am - 4pm.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and understand sketches and interpret their meaning onto glass edges.
• Must be able to read schedules and understand edger’s production demands based on information schedules.
• Basic computer familiarity
• Read and use a tape measure
• Read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals normally acquired through high school education or equivalency

Responsibilities

• Operate a grinder to fabricate a quality ground or polished edge.
• Operate overhead crane and vacuum lift.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines.
• Complete daily work sheets and forms.
• Track, locate, and record CNC production on schedules provided by Lead person.
• Communicate production demands with operators on each shift.
