About The Position

This role involves setting up, programming (as required), and operating one or more CNC work centers in punching, shearing, or forming operations. The position prioritizes safety and efficiency, requiring the operator to contribute to the safety program, adhere to guidelines, and maintain an organized workspace. Responsibilities include operating CNC machines, selecting and adjusting machine tools, fabricating parts according to drawings, using precision measuring tools for quality control, performing authorized maintenance, moving materials, and completing production records. The role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Carries out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority.
Prioritizes the well-being of colleagues and actively contributes to the safety program by collaborating, sharing ideas, and voicing concerns.
Adheres to training guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards.
Set up, operate, and make necessary program modifications on one or more CNC machines.
Select, install, and adjust proper machine tools, jigs, and fixtures for operations to be performed.
Fabricate parts based on engineering drawings and work orders, ensuring they meet required specifications.
Use precision measuring tools to check tolerances and maintain quality throughout production.
Perform authorized maintenance and adjustments on machines and machine tools.
Move material as needed using forklifts, hoists, overhead cranes, and manual handling as necessary.
Ensure the completion of all necessary production records and reports, while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
Capable of working independently or as a team with minimum supervision.
