About The Position

Shenandoah Furniture, a division of Hooker Furnishings Corporation, is seeking a dependable individual with a great attention to detail to join their team in their Mount Airy, NC location as a Machine Operator - CNC Router. This role involves operating machines according to standard operating procedures, accurately recording production information (potentially using an RF scanner or computer), performing inspections and repairs on parts, and working effectively both individually and in a team setting. The position requires standing for up to 9 hours per day and the ability to safely lift 50 lbs, sometimes more during group lifts.

Requirements

• At least one year of CNC routing experience.
• Possess computer skills.
• Possess basic math skills.
• Ability to remain on your feet in an upright position.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach at or above shoulder level.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Accurately record production information, potentially using an RF scanner or computer.
• Complete inspections of parts for issues and defects and repairing if able.
• Work well both individually and in a team setting.
• Stand for up to 9 hours per day.
• Lift 50 lbs. safely and at times more while performing group lifts.
