Our dairy cooperative is seeking a regular, full-time Butter Machine Operator for our 2nd shift. This is an entry-level position with ample opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

Schedule flexibility -- willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays and rotate shift, as required based on business needs.
Ability to operate, understand and troubleshoot butter packaging equipment including processing machinery and case packaging equipment.
Ability to make machine adjustments to meet required specifications.
Ability to operate and set printers to ensure that U.S.D.A.# and “Sell By” dates are correct.
Ability to ensure that proper packaging is used for each production item.
Ability to complete and record necessary information on proper logs legibly, verifying that all required documents are filled out properly and are accurate in accordance with Safety and SQF procedures.

Nice To Haves

Current or previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in the food industry.

Responsibilities

Operate butter packaging equipment.
Follow and understand the production schedule.
Maintain facility in a sanitary manner, including Clean-in-Place (CIP) washing of equipment and cleaning of walls, floors, and ceilings.
Restock butter packaging materials to meet production needs and maintain materials in an appropriate, orderly fashion.
Operate, understand, and troubleshoot butter packaging equipment, including processing machinery and case packaging equipment.
Perform machine adjustments to meet required specifications.
Operate and set printers to ensure that U.S.D.A.# and “Sell By” dates are correct.
Ensure that proper packaging is used for each production item.
Complete and record necessary information on proper logs legibly, verifying that all required documents are filled out properly and are accurate in accordance with Safety and SQF procedures.
