Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred; entry-level candidates with a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, job instructions, and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn machine setup and operation.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and accurately complete production documentation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow all company safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to work overtime and varying shifts as required to meet production needs.
Nice To Haves
- 6 months to 1 year of experience operating manufacturing or production equipment.
- Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with quality inspection processes and identifying product defects.
- Experience using measuring tools or basic production equipment.
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment (if applicable).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement principles.
- Demonstrated reliability, strong attendance record, and positive work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery safely and efficiently according to established procedures and work instructions.
- Perform basic machine setup, startup, operation, and shutdown procedures.
- Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and job instructions to ensure accurate production.
- Monitor machine performance and product quality, identifying defects and notifying the appropriate supervisor or team lead.
- Conduct routine quality checks to ensure products meet company standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Load, unload, and handle raw materials and finished products, lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and on time.
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or production issues promptly to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Assist with changeovers, material replenishment, and other production-related tasks as assigned.
- Work independently for short periods while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Participate in training to develop machine operation skills and improve manufacturing processes.
