About The Position

Milacron is looking for a Machine Operator (Barrel Cell) to join our team in Mt. Orab, Ohio. This opening is 3rd Shift 11pm-7am must train the morning from 7am-3pm for at least 90 days. Must be open to overtime when needed. This Machine Operator (Barrel Cell) at Milacron is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring grinding machinery to produce precision parts while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age now or within a few months.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure that the customer demand is met.
• Experience with precision tools like Gauges, Calipers, micrometers, and able to read blueprints.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to perform and interpret computer functions.
• 1+ years of related experience or training: or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

• Overhead Crane operation & 3rd shift.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Currently enrolled in technical program such as machining, welding, industrial equipment, or manufacturing engineering.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the grinding machine according to specifications of the project.
• Read and interpret blueprints or design schematics to understand the project requirements.
• Select and install the appropriate tools and equipment needed for the grinding process.
• Adjust machine settings to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut.
• Monitoring the machine while it's running to ensure its functioning properly and to prevent errors or malfunctions.
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on the machine to ensure its longevity and safety.
• Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the grinding process.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
