About The Position

The Machine Assistant supports manufacturing production in Springfield, Missouri. The role assists with machine setup, calibration, and operation while helping meet production goals and ensure products meet quality specifications. It also involves basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting, production documentation, following work instructions and safety procedures, and maintaining an orderly work area. The position requires dependable attendance, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and production processes.
• Basic computer skills for production documentation.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic manufacturing math.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
• Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment that may be hot and humid.
• Ability to work overtime as needed, including shifts of up to 12 hours and occasional weekends.

Nice To Haves

• 2–3 years of stable manufacturing experience preferred.
• Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup, calibration, and operation.
• Monitor quality and help ensure products meet specifications.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting using hand tools.
• Accurately record production data, downtime, and maintenance information using computer systems.
• Follow established manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
