Machine Operator Assistant
About The Position
Mactac is seeking candidates to become part of our manufacturing team! We manufacture pressure sensitive materials used in everyday products such as label printing, graphic design, packaging, displays, medical device assembly and many more! The Machine Operator Assistant performs a variety of activities involved in the overall operation of a machine and assisting the operator. Primary responsibilities are to constantly monitor all phases of the operation, to maintain productivity and quality, and to maximize waste reduction efforts in order to ensure that continuous improvement goals are achieved or exceeded.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- Ability to use basic computer system's hardware and software
- Manufacturing experience
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
- Perform physical activities such as lifting, carrying, and moving up to 50 lbs.
- Standing up to 8+ hours a day, twisting, bending and squatting.
Responsibilities
- Work safely utilizing a working knowledge of LOTO, PPE, and other safe work practices
- Assisting performing general set-up of multiple machines
- Load and unload material from machine
- Ensure that the machine is producing quality product
- Ensure proper materials and machine settings are used
- Ensure all paperwork and data entry is completed accurately
- Communicate within department on a daily basis on production runs
- Assist in monitoring deviations in materials and running conditions
- Adhere to all environmental, safety and housekeeping standards and regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned
