About The Position

This position is for a Machine Operator 1 in Ceramic Coat at RTX, a large aerospace and defense company. The role involves operating production machines, training to become proficient in auxiliary equipment, performing routine operations, producing blades and/or vanes, and conducting quality checks. The position requires shift work and the ability to work overtime when needed. Responsibilities include performing daily standard work, adhering to work instructions, clocking labor in Solumina, performing and documenting daily Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM), and maintaining a clean work area (5S). Tasks may be modified based on skill level, proficiency, and performance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Previous Manufacturing experience or education or Advanced Manufacturing Certification

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of production machines.
• Train on the job to become proficient and certified in performing operations in at least 2 auxiliary equipment standard work groups (e.g., Bake/Grit; PHT; Pinhole Check and Surface Roughness Analyzer).
• Perform routine operations.
• Produce blades and/or vanes.
• Perform all quality checks.
• Perform daily standard work and perform complex operations successfully.
• Adhere to standard work and all work instructions while performing tasks.
• Clock labor in Solumina.
• Perform Daily Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and document results.
• Keep equipment and work area clean (5S).
• May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills.
