About The Position

Magellan Aerospace, New York has an exciting opportunity for a Machine Maintenance Technician. The purpose of this position is to ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production machinery in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment. The successful incumbent will support and maintain the mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems of our manufacturing equipment. The salary range for this role is $25.00 to $32.00 per hour.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical certification preferred.
3–5+ years of machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (CNC / aerospace preferred).
Strong knowledge of, mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, spindles, and ball screws, and alignment, vibration, and machine leveling
Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Manufacturing environment with exposure to heavy machinery, oils, noise, and industrial conditions.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and off-shift support when required.

Nice To Haves

Technical certification preferred.
CNC / aerospace experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment including CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and production machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and conveyors and automated systems
Diagnose mechanical failures and identify root causes to minimize downtime.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Support machine installations, relocations, and upgrades.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies.
Assist in continuous improvement projects related to machine reliability and plant efficiency.
Respond to urgent maintenance issues and support off-shift operations when required.
