About The Position

Eagle Claw Fishing Tackle is seeking a Machine Maintenance Mechanic II to maintain and repair all production equipment, ensuring machinery and equipment are kept in good working condition. Requirements

  • Three to five years of equipment maintenance experience in a production facility required.
  • Possess good mechanical aptitude and basic machining skills.
  • Must have demonstrated experience with maintaining electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Able to read, write and do basic arithmetic functions to read blueprints and make mathematical calculations.
  • Must provide own mechanic’s hand tools that may include machinist’s precision measuring tools.
  • Department safety consists of wearing safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and no loose-fitting clothing that could get caught in machinery.
  • Position may require Level I or Level II hazardous materials handling.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year of machine shop training and/or machine shop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and assemble production equipment for replacement of worn or broken parts to include machine heads and tables.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment by cleaning, lubricating and/or replacing broken or worn parts.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Use precise measuring tools to verify conformance of parts to blueprint specifications.
  • Fabricate parts to blueprint presses and various types of power tools.
  • Rebuild and repair other production equipment.
  • Replace and/or repair electrical devices and equipment up to 480 volts. To include motors, proximity switches, light curtains etc.
  • Diagnose problems associated with pneumatic, hydraulic switches / solenoids and proximity switch activation systems.
  • Keeps work area and machine tools clean and free of debris.
  • Performs skilled and/or less skilled work in the department or other areas of the Company as directed.
  • Observes all safety and good housekeeping regulations of the department and/or the Company.
  • Successfully complete an initial program of classroom instruction regarding the nature of handling, storage & treatment of hazardous material including all pertinent regulations.
