About The Position

Apple is seeking mid-level and senior researchers to work on ambitious, curiosity-driven, long-term machine learning research projects that can impact Apple and its products. The role focuses on innovative foundational research and offers the opportunity to address challenging problems, collaborate with machine learning engineers and researchers, and publish results in high-quality scientific venues.

The researcher will advance machine learning research, publish high-quality and reproducible results in top-tier conferences and journals, and collaborate with other researchers to develop and execute research plans through implementation and experimentation. The role also provides technical guidance, prepares technical reports and conference talks, and includes collaboration with broader teams across Apple.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in machine learning research.
• A publication record in relevant conferences, such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACL, or EMNLP.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning toolkits such as PyTorch.
• Strong mathematical skills in linear algebra and statistics.
• A PhD, or equivalent practical experience, in Computer Science or a related technical field.
