Machine Learning Engineering Intern

AeroVironment•Centreville, VA
•Onsite

About The Position

This paid, 12-week summer internship is an onsite opportunity for students currently enrolled in college or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Interns work alongside AV team members on meaningful projects and develop professional relationships, problem-solving skills, and practical experience in a full-time work environment. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA; preference is given to students at the junior level or above. Relocation and housing reimbursement may be available to students willing to relocate, depending on the team and location. Team, location, and program details are discussed during the interview process. The Machine Learning Intern supports AV’s R&D Group in developing computer vision solutions for defense and commercial applications. The intern contributes to focused design teams working on object detection, classification, localization, and tracking, and gains exposure to concept design, prototyping, testing, and evaluation.
