About The Position

Workday is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer III to join the Agent Factory team. This role involves developing data & AI-driven, automated, comprehensive solutions at a global scale for enterprise clients using modern software, data, and AI engineering stacks. The engineer will collaborate closely with product managers and software engineers to deliver AI solutions that provide significant value and efficiency to payroll administrators and users, enhancing their experience through predictive analytics and recommendations. The role offers the opportunity to apply technical problem-solving and creative thinking using the latest AI Agent technologies and toolsets to impact large enterprises that use Workday for payroll processing for millions of employees. This is production-grade AI, deeply embedded into Workday’s platform, with teams owning problems end-to-end and using the right tools to solve real customer challenges at global scale.

Requirements

5+ yrs experience as part of a data science, machine learning software development team or relevant work in a PhD or equivalent experience program.
3+ years experience using Python and frameworks such as Pytorch, TensorFlow.
2+ years of experience related to machine learning, deep learning, NLP, GenAI, multi-agent AI systems, distributed training, model hosting, etc.
B.S. or M.S. in relevant fields (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering).
Experienced in handling large-scale, complex data sets, data modeling, and productizing machine learning algorithms.

Nice To Haves

PhD or equivalent experience preferred.
Strong experience building applied machine learning products, including taking a product through design, implementation, and to production is a plus.
