About The Position

International Paper is seeking a Machine Helper to join their team. This full-time, hourly position is responsible for supporting machine operations, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The role involves feeding materials into machines, inspecting and bundling products, and reporting any deficiencies to the operator. The Machine Helper will also be responsible for administrative tasks such as filling out top sheets and obtaining necessary materials, as well as performing basic preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• Counting and stacking finished product
• Reading factory order
• Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds
• Frequent lifting/carrying of 1-20 pounds
• Reaching below waist and knee, and at waist level
• Kneeling, squatting
• Climbing stairs on rare occasions
• Frequent hand/wrist work
• Keyboarding and mousing
• Power grasping
• Pushing/pulling materials
• Frequent walking
• Left and right-hand work
• Simple grasping
• Constantly standing on feet for extended periods of time
• Must wear protective glasses and earplugs when using compressed air

Responsibilities

• Check Quality
• Operator backup
• Feed board into machines
• Inspection, counting and bundling of items
• Reporting all deficiencies to the operator immediately
• Stacking of neat bales per work order specification
• Properly filling out top sheets per work order specification
• Obtaining and proper use of top and bottom sheets
• Mounting die boards
• Mounting lead edge stripping die
• Housekeeping (organizing and keeping area neat and clean)
• Preventive maintenance
