About The Position

Radiac is hiring a Manufacturing Machine Grinder for its Second Shift Production team at its Oswego, Illinois facility. The role operates a manual machine according to work instructions to meet production goals and quality standards. The pay range is $19.50 to $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 2 years of manual lathe experience.
At least 1 year of experience in a machining environment.
High school diploma or GED.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to communicate, read, and write in English.
Familiarity with using measuring hand tools.
Ability to use various measuring instruments.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

Finish turned parts according to a blueprint.
Visually inspect products for burrs, damage, rust, and other defects.
Measure products using prescribed gauging.
Identify when tool changes are needed and complete them.
Inform management of maintenance issues or job-related problems.
Complete production paperwork accurately and on time.
Verify piece counts and product traceability.
Maintain an organized and clean work area.
Communicate problems and other work-related issues to the supervisor.
Receive, understand, and follow written and oral instructions.
Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety and attendance requirements.
Resolve day-to-day issues by working effectively with others.
