About The Position

Nikita Construction is looking for a Machine Operator for its major construction projects. Nikita Construction is part of Northland Properties and manages its construction and design activities. Requirements

• Experience of 2 years+
• All relevant certifications for Telehandler, AWP/EWP, Working at Heights, Forklift, etc.
• Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work.
• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.
• Skilled in the use and care of hand and small power tools associated with the work.
• Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Willing to perform repetitive tasks for an extended period.
• Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10-12 hours/day
• Must be able to lift 50lbs as needed
• Must be able to work in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures for 10-12 hours/day
• You must be legally entitled to work in Canada to apply as the employer does not have a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) that would support a foreign worker.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
• Operate tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
• Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected.
• Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order.
• Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations.
