About The Position

Working under general supervision, this role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting problems with machinery. The technician will inspect, adjust, and repair machinery controls, including PLCs, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.

Requirements

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with machinery.
  • Inspect, adjust, and repair machinery controls including PLCs, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.
  • Ensure operations of electrical systems including PLC’s, drives, controllers, sensors, and other components.
  • Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs to malfunctioning equipment following electrical and safety codes.
  • Program drives, PLC’s and other electrical devices.
  • Maintain equipment calibration and repair history maintenance system.
  • Program automated machinery, verify operation, and test for malfunctions.
  • Diagnose, calibrate, and repair faulty operation of electrical combustion components, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of furnaces and other machinery.
  • Maintain work area in a safe manner and keep a clean and orderly work area.
  • Follow safety rules and regulations, participate in safety meetings and suggest ways for continual improvement.
  • Participate in training sessions as required.
