About The Position

Machine Compliance Technician AJM Packaging Corporation Detroit, MI Job Overview - AJM Packaging Corporation, one of America’s leading manufacturers of paper products, including paper plates, cups, bowls, and bags, is seeking a Machine Compliance Technician to add to our growing team. This position will perform routine and non-routine inspections of materials and equipment using precision tools, ensure compliance with standards, document results, identify non-conformances, and support corrective actions and SOP development.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
3+ years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or maintenance role in a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
Strong understanding of mechanical systems
Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) for documentation, reporting, and communication.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of in-process materials, raw materials, and finished goods using a variety of precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Perform compliance checks on machinery and equipment to ensure adherence to internal standards.
Identify non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Document inspection results, maintain accurate records, and prepare compliance reports.
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of compliance issues.
Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to machine compliance and inspection procedures.
All other duties as assigned.
