Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, assembly drawings, work orders, and basic electrical or controls diagrams.
  • General knowledge of mechanical and electrical machine components.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment safely and accurately.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math and measurements.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to enter time and material information accurately.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with employees across departments.
  • Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate conduct consistent with Wardcraft’s culture, values, policies, and commitment to quality.
  • Perform machine assembly, assembling products from blueprints, work orders, or established standards.
  • Wiring of electrical components.
  • Accurately record labor hours, materials, and other required information to the appropriate work orders in the company’s business system.
  • Assist with preparing completed equipment for shipment, installation, or customer delivery as needed.
  • Inspect completed work to verify proper assembly, alignment, operation, and compliance with Wardcraft’s quality requirements.
  • Communicate material shortages, drawing discrepancies, quality concerns, equipment problems, or potential production delays to the supervisor.
  • Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Shipping, and other departments to support project schedules and the timely completion and delivery of equipment.
  • Properly use, inspect, maintain, and store company tools and equipment.
  • Works in harmony with all other departments.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and required personal protective equipment practices.
  • All other duties as assigned.
